HEY GOT SOME MAIZE THIS YEAR, WAS GOING TO FEED WITH GRASS SILAGE APPROX 60 40, TO BEEF CATTLE,WAS GOING TO USE A BLOCK CUTTER ,IE,CANT AFFORD A MIXER WOGON,ANY TIPS ON WHAT TO ADD AND HOW TO ADD TO BALANCE DIET, NOTE THE SILAGE IS AVERAGE QUALITY AND I HAVE NO STORAGE FOR STRAIGHTS..

G'day Wurzel, hows tricks?, dont know if this is any good to you but I have found that whole lupins soaked overnight in water (in a loader bucket) swells up & at about 30/34%protein they give cattle a real boost a shorthorn breeder put me on to this ,he uses it to polish up his bulls before sale & they do look the part.anyway all the best with the shoveling mate regards tully
