    Intro/Hello

Hello all, quick intro post Brought up in Dorset, worked on farms all my life (and forestry) as well as helping my mum out with our few ewes, went to uni after school (stupid decision, skipped lectures to milk cows and go shooting), got a decent degree and worked milking 120 black and whites. I was persuaded by a local vet that veterinary could be for me, as a result I am a mature 1st year Vet student, and sad git that I am spend every spare weekend milking Jerseys (except this one, I'm supposed to be revising), with the aim of when I qualify going into Large Animal practice, and in an ideal world I'd eventually be in a position to get my own herd one day. Anyway, hoping to glean some info, and have a laugh Tom

    Re: Intro/Hello

    Hi Tom, welcome along.

It sound like your a busy fella. Went back myself as a mature student (Engineering) its not easy. I went part time allowing for an income to pay the bills. It has payed for itself ten fold. Shortly after starting the course I was offered work and I am still employed by the same organization. Thinking of doing more study, but not sure it can be expensive in both financial terms and time.

Veterinary will be a tough one, rather you than me. You will definitely get a laugh, but I'm not to sure about the info?
