We have 150 ewes to lamb which are a mix of 90% Texel X and  10% Mules put to Charolais or Texel tups, all lambed indoors.

We have used students for the last 3 years, with great success.

We are also happy to take on a complete novice, just as long as they have the enthusiasm for the job and willingness to learn. We will be happy to spend time teaching the necessary skills of all aspects of lambing if needed.

This is a great opportunity for getting that first lambing experience.

Unfortunately we cannot offer any accommodation. A Full UK driving licence would be an advantage but not essential.

        Im currently a student studying at Harper Adams University College and i have a huge desire to gain a lambing job for the easter holidays.  At the moment i have little experience with lambing but by April will have had numerous sessions of lambing under my belt as i am helping with the lambing season on the College farm.

I currently live in Burley-in-Wharfedale, West Yorkshire and so i would be local to the job and very useful for when you are at your busiest.  I hold a clean Full UK driving license and have had a farm experience before working a harvest last summer.  I am a very hard worker and like to work to a high standard, i am also very keen to learn aswell.  With my good work ethic and determination i believe i would be a adaquate addition to your lambing season.

My only questions are: Would this be paid work as this is an improtant factor to me? And how would you like me to apply?
