A row has broken out over the future direction of the levy organisations with the NBA, NSA, AIMS and LAA issuing a stinging statement about the NFU which they claim is pushing a centralising agenda with the new levy bodies with regard to marketing and research and development cash. It is a charge completely rejected by the NFU which says it is disappointed that the groups issued a statement to the press rather than talking about it - given that they have all being working closely together on issues like foot-and-mouth.
