There was a really interesting discussion happening on Twitter yesterday afternoon using the hashtag #aggen. A couple of people started chatting about challenges facing new entrants to agriculture, the conversation snowballed and suddenly a dozen or more people were pitching in.
To take the words of young farmer Gareth Barlow, who was taking part, "the general theme is based on how new entrants and
the next generation of farmers and farm workers gain a footing in the industry
whether as employees, self employed or partners."
If you're on Twitter, it's definitely worth keeping an eye on the hashtag over the next few days/weeks.
