New tele-handler or big tractor and loader for dairy farm?

hi chaps, have a matbro ts270 handler with 9000hrs on clock, startin to cause a bit of trouble, time to get rid, Have 200 dairy cows plus followers eg. cover yards to clean out (to load 2000gal west dual spreader), and loading mixer wagon and generel dairy duties, so do i buy a new telehandler or big tractor and loader? Duties of tractor an loader would also be tanking with 2400gal major tanker on steep devonshire land, so would need to be 120hp-140hp, so do i buy a handler or tractor an loader? and also any sugestions what to buy and what the farmer nett price is, if you have just bought one?

    many thanks

    alex

Tractor and loader every time , Don't fancy my chances with a 2400gallon tanker on the steep behind a telehandler

well you must have a tractor already to pull a tanker. I'd get telehandler my self there 100 times better than a tractor and loader, just bought a cat this year that replaced a manitou its brill would recomend one.

to be fair it almost sounds as if you need both. How about a used handler, and a used tractor?

This has been done elsewhere and I think a big loader is OK for light use bales of straw etc but if reach is a problem or manoeuverability an issue a 4w steer handler is best. Also I have yet to find a tractor loader able to stack tattie boxes more than 3 high. Plenty of ex arable 150hp tractors around just now and a good 3ton handler should be got for £17to £25k. We are going to a 4ton JCB next change its nice to load a truck in under 10 mins Show me a tractor loader that can do that and reach 7metres for boxes, man platform and even shed construction
A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

as someone above said, you must allready have a tractor to pull the tanker etc. the landini multi farmer isnt to expensive. has everything like a normal tele handeler. but has PTO and linkage. also the seet can turn around so you can drive it backwards.  it would be ideal for big jobs like bale carting and mucking out, it could drive the spreader with its PTO. depending on how big the spreader if of course. but it would also be handy with the four whell steer for jobs like scraping up. toping, and if you really wanted you could put a plough on it but i dont really see them being made for that kind of work. the only thing i have to critisise is the cab is  a little small. but then again im pretty big so everything is to me =P and also the head stock on them dont look all that strong.

You must be british to have a REAL matbro not a terex , My neighbour used to have a MOFFAT?.Reverse drive tractor a bit like a bi-directional but built on a ford 7840 turbo and painted yellow .But a New holland Bi-Directional TV140 sounds perfect for you.

    he his-self,

i agree with just about everything you say, except that 'if manoeverability is an issue a 4w steer handeler is best'... We run a jcb 527-58 4 wheel steer and ur neighbors (stany) have  a mainto pivot steer. i have to say the pivot has better view for getting attachments on as you can see both sides of the bucket not just one, and also it can turn a tighter circle and get round trickyer places. id advise pivot everytime.
