    Re: Tractors widths

That would be a very long list, especially if we have to include models! Sleep

I would say anything below 50hp will almost definately be under 2.45 wide. Hmm

Maybe you could tell us what size tractor you have in mind? Try a bit of research online (manufacturer's websites).

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. (Thomas A. Eddison)

all widths will be in the tractor specifications..... most tractors under 100hp are set at 2.45m wide, and less.

(to be honest no-one cares particully, obviously I'm not saying break the law, I'm just saying that if one was to accidently drive a tractor slightly wider than 2.45, its hard to measure the exact width, and never ever heard of such a thing being a problem)

for example for your widths.... massey 4235 (70 odd hp)- 2.45m, 5435 (80 odd hp)- 2.45m... i think the 5445 and 5455 are also the same tracking, so that takes you up to 100hp on the masseys; thus your alright with anything less than 100 horses.

    Re: Tractors widths

tractor width going to generally depend on wheel settings of the individual machine. In my experience pretty much anything up to 150hp is ok, but some newer tractors are wider as for 50k box mudgards have to cover all of the tyre and therefore stick out at about 2.55m

    Re: Tractors widths

i took my test in our newholland TM155, its on standard tyres, and was 2.4ish metres wide, but, to be honest, just use a tape measure and measure it ;)

think a t150 would be too wide, but not sure... but as its already been said... its not such a main point your width.

    Re: Tractors widths

i should worry to much about being over width as long as u r aware of the width of ur machine. i done my test on a case 5150 with duals on one afternoon half way through rolling a 50 acre field just down the road from test she measures in at about 3.5 metre and the examinar just asked a load of queations about the risks of being a wide veicle, im ust glade he didnt see the neighbour moving there 6metre combi down the road on the tractor linkage lol

    Re: Tractors widths

It's not the tractor, it's a combination of tyre width and whatever the tractor track with is set at. In my experience most tractors are set at 72", give or take an inch, so with 20.8" tyres gives you an overall width of 7' 9", which is within your limit by 3", although you may have low profiles, which mucks everything up!!
