CASE IH 5130 SYNCRO TURNING UP THE PUMP

I have a case 5130 and a case 1056xl the 1056 is a far better pulling tractor and the 5130 is useless. i want to turn up the pump a little but it has a lucas pump on it. the 1056 is a simple 13mm spanner and a screw driver. how can i turn it up on the 5130? i have heard you have to take off the plate on the pump and move the cam ring position but how is this done??? help required as am getting sick of it being slugish

    Now Then..

A doddle of a job for your dealeror someone with a dynamometer. It is possible in a farmyard situation but there are no markings inside & a little movement can make loads of smoke. If you go too far you don't know where to go back to.Better on the dynamometer so you can see any gain & not chuck bucketfulls of fuel in resulting in excessive smoke eh..

A fella down the road has a dynometer and its 81hp @ the shaft. if i know what to do with the pump i will have it done in no time. i got the 1056 to 109 @ shaft by playin with the screw. puts out a bit of smoke but thats the best i could get it to. If you have any idea how to do the pump i will have a go on the dyno and see what i get out of it!!
