Congratulations are due to Peter Kendall for his brilliant and robust defence of biofuels against the insanity of those eco warriors who have recently developed a hate campaign against the production of bio fuels. I personally suspect that these idiotic luddites are more concerned about the benifits that may accrue to farmers  for growing these crops than the savings that will be made in the reduction of fossil fuel usage. Of course it may also be coincidental, but they have suddenly developed this hatred of biofuels since President Bush decided to make the growing of them a serious part of USA agricultural policy.  This is the sort of  positive action we have been hoping to see from the NFU and maybe under the leadership of Mr Kendall  we are on the verge of more proactive and more dynamic farming voice.
