Policy on adverts - including 'wanted' ads and appeals for land to shoot over

This is a warning for people that don't read the Forum rules (despite my plea! Big Smile). Advertisements are not allowed on FWiSpace and will be removed once they have come to my attention.

It's a rule that most forums apply because they can get way out of hand and start to dominate what should be a place for discussion.

We did trial an area where we allowed people who were seeking land to shoot over to post messages, but it has attracted little interest and will now be moved to the archive (messages were inevtiably posted in the wrong area and so needed moving all the time anyway! Big Smile) Any new messages that are posted along the same lines will be deleted.

The aim is not to be heavy-handed but to keep the forums a nice place to be! Big SmileTo clarify adverts include (this list is not exhaustive) posts that:

    • solicit other users to become users of competitive online services,
    • advertise or offer to sell any goods or services for any purpose,
    • appeal for full-time jobs/land/houses to buy
    • are 'wanted ads' for land to shoot across/metal detecting/festivals/diversification
    • offer vermin control services
