I have recently passed my tractor test and am now hoping to move on to my car license, do i still have the provisional license or do i need to re-apply for one?

yeah you still have your provisional, if your tractor test examiner sent off your old provisional after the test you will revive a new provisional license through the post with Cat F added to it. hope this helped :)

You used to apply for a general provisional license at 16, then as you reached each age milestone it became valid for the relavent categories. As you passed a category test (eg 'F' for agricultural tractor) your licence became a full licence for that, (and in the old days changed colour from green to pink when you sent it off!) but remained provisional for those you hadn't passed. I believe the same system still holds.

Just to complicate things a bit, by passing 'B' (a car test) you also pass some other categories, including 'F'.

If you look at the bottom table you will see your category F also gives you a full licence for K (mowers) and a provisional for B (cars) and P (mopeds).
