    Re: straw burner

Try this link for the "Farm 2000" straw / wood burning boiler, they used to be made in the midlands.

I had an imported "Scanfield" straw /wood burner, it was before Farm 2000 had got established, it heated 18 radiators and  we had it for 25 years. We baled our rape straw in small bales in them days and in winter when it needed to be in for longer period of cold weather we used wood.

We used all the dead elm trees when that desease struck them.

Hello there, not sure if this will help you, I currently use a farm 2000 boiler to heat my 5 bed farm house which is poorly insulated and drafty. It does a cracking job just burning wheat straw. Looking at how oil prices have soared over the past month makes a straw burner a brilliant choice! My only problem is im having to move house for my job and will no longer have the space for my burner. It is a relatively new burner (2004) and is mounted in a shipping container. All set up and ready to burn in a self contained unit. Would be worth a look if you are looking to buy one. Mine is for sale but if you just wanted to see how one performs your welcome to have a look. Im in lincolnshire.

    Hi

I've just read your post.  Do you still have your Farm 2000?  If so, can you tell me which size and model and how much?

    Many thanks

    Re: straw burner

Hi there, my burner is a farm 2000 HT80. Its a 2004 model and is in lovely condition. I have the complete set up for sale. It has a 10 inch stainless steel twin wall chimney which is 9 meters long, along with a stay pole. It comes with all steel pipework and a 10,000 litre ceramic lined steel tank as the accumulator. Pumps included are a very large grundfos pump for water circulation and 3 grundfos central heating pumps, all are only 18 months old. I have a large heat exchanger too which keeps the boiler and house water seperate (very important). It is all electronicly controlled with thermostats and electric fan, with timer and fan speed depending on what your burning. Also included all original cleaning tools, a bale spike to fit forklift tines and an ash bucket. Basically everything you would need. It is all housed in a 40 foot container which means you wouldnt even have any plumbing if it would fit your location. I have been burning wheat straw in 3 foot round bales, and it will hold 2 at once! If it would help ill throw in enough straw to see you through til next winter. It works incredibly well and would recommend one to anyone. I wish i could have bought it with me to my new house. I am looking for £7000 for the entire set up, this is a hell of a price for what you will be getting, i would advise pricing all this kit up new from farm 2000 to see just how good it is! Im open to sensible offers and will be willing to talk to anyone who would like advice on fitting one of these beasts. My number is 07799772131. Thanks muchly, Andy

Hi, have you still got this for sale, are you heating a domestic house with this? It looks too big for that? Do you run it 24/7? Can you email me some photos? Thx

    Re: straw burner

Hi there, it is still for sale.I was heating my house with the burner, it is very large but by using the accumulator tank the house only takes what heat it needs, regardless of the boiler output. You could heat a one bed flat with it, or a castle. The difference being the amount of straw you put through it. With my 5 bed farmhouse with single glazing, i stoked it once a day. If it was a huge house, you would burn twice a day. If you had a small cottage, you may only stoke it once every 2 or 3 days, depending on demand. My system is everso flexable, and will fit any sized property. I will try and get some photos at the weekend, but a better idea would be to come and have a look and see for yourself. my number is above if you would like any more info. Many thanks, Andy

Farm 2000 Straw and Wood Burner

For heating your home / workshop / shed

Renewable Energy - No more expensive fuel bills

Here for sale is my fathers Farm 2000 Big Bale burner. We have been using this burner to heat our very large bungalow (4000 sq ft) very cheaply and efficiently. This is a very large burner capable of taking large round bales (4ft round). For our bungalow we burned one bale of wheat straw a day which gave a plentiful supply of very hot water to our radiators and hot water cylinder. It has a 10,000 litre accumulator tank for storing the heated water before entering the house when required. This system is very flexible, as you have a constant supply of hot water, on demand when you need it. It enables you to control the house temperature instead of being too hot when the boiler is burning and then cooling off when it dies down. You can burn just to supply your hot water cylinder in the summer if you wish.

This Burner would be capable of heating very large sheds or workshops, or even drying grain.

It could also heat a swimming pool, as well as your home.

It will burn anything - household rubbish, wood, straw - Anything that will burn

Having so much heat at your fingertips will mean you will no long worry about oil prices rising, and may decide to heat your garage and out buildings, just because you can.

If you are at all confused or have any questions regarding whether this would suit your home / farm do not hesitate to call me on 077899772131 and I will happily answer any questions.

Please ring to arrange a viewing, the boiler is still operating at the monent so good chance to see it in action, it will be removed from property once buyer is found. We can load onto your vehicle for transportation.

    Many thanks, Andy

    Re: straw burner

     Hello

I been runing my house for the past 15 years on Straw burners, I when from a Scanfield to a DanHeat and now a Farm 2000, I got to say that out of all of this models the DanHeat it was by far the most eficient of them all, allthough the Farm 2000 is only been install and I haven't really play with it to much but the signs are is a well made boiler.

You more than welcome to ask questions and I will answer them with pleasure, I will even post pics if any one is interested. But beware of one important thing, this boilers eat a lot of wood so a good source for it is vital, I run a house with 14 rads and a workshop with 3 rads so its a big house and the boiler is a big part of us with out it well would cost me a lot of money to heat that.

    Hope this helps.

Oh another think, I'm looking for a old but usable any type of straw burner for my pool, I will try to run it out of my existing boiler but I think it will be to small then and it may will then sufer in the house so I'm looking ot buy a second hand one but usable boiler.

    Thx
