not quite a teaser bull but a male lamb that lost its mother was reared in a pen with some baby calves (at least five years ago) he does not like other sheep but lives very happily with the cows now .If a cow shows signs of coming into heat he knows and follows it around.we then put the stock bull in or call the AI.By the way he is pure suffolk .It may be a bit different but I could not see the point in getting rid of him just because he fails to know he is a sheep and after all he has a job to do which he does very well costs next to nothing to keep and is safe to handle.

like the bit on the little ram there insidently goats are the same but if you want a teaser bull try one of the smaller breads - angus - they eat any thing but can be fairly nasty tempered they will eat the bad silage if you put some flour on it like other beef animals will

Angus - Smaller breed ? - I'm not an angus breeder, but ours weighed 1260 kgs last time we expanded the crush enough to get him in. Fairly nasty tempered ? He might be a ton and a qtr, but wouldn't hurt a fly. But as with any bull, you should never trust them. Daniel.

other breeds used that i have seen of any age: charolais and susex the charolais was a mad old thing that was loose in woods and found the farm during foot and mouth he was quite happy with his cows but as with any bulls i would say as the others did do not trust them as far as you can throw them angus bulls are small compaired to herofords for example who are dosile unless a cow is on heat do not choose a limosan or simental though they are the wild ones to avoid unless you already have them that is all the best a-R

Probably. We came by him when we bought out a herd of cows to restock. We only use him for heifers now, he may be heavy, but he is very nimble and works heifers fine. He's always been very easy calving, indeed we calved a heifer this year at 15 1/2 months - calved fine. Accident, not intended.
