The Environment as agreed by AIC, CLA, FWAG, LEAF and NFU, where are you?

How do the famous five expect to deliver on environmental goods? Why should you pay them when you can organize it for almost free through the RDA money squirreled out of YOUR area payments by badger benn.

Following the several months of whether or nor a voluntry scheme or compulsion would be used to deliver birdies we have an alliance of five within farming who say they will deliver environmental goods from the landscape for society.

I don't know how they are going to do this. It looks like a typically closed shop British solution. Society presently calls for transparency from MP's, Bankers, and various others. Just how do the AIC, CLA, FWAG, LEAF and NFU expect to deliver the agreed shopping list?

Farmers in Ontario were called upon to deliver environmental goods in 1993 in a voluntary scheme, and this is undoutedly a good system, they have been doing this for 16 years. Though it has had it's critics from the Environmental lobby. This would be an excellent way forward in England by creating a training programme of a couple of days with an action plan agreed on how to move things forward. Rest assurred though this group of famous five will not have the vision or sales capacity to arrange such activity. This could be funded through use of the modulated funding, again a tough ask for the respective RDA's.

I have put up some links and wonder if there are any views out in digital FWi land, where the birdies tweet.
