Where would adverts for homesteaders for Canada be advertised in early 1900s?

My grandfathers sister, her husband and family left Yorkshire sometime in 1910 ish as they arrived in time for the Canadian Census of 1911.

How would a family of farmers have learnt about homesteading to decide to emigrate all that way? Were there any farmers' publications then?

Have had a wonderful response from Canada and have details of their journey but have found no  point of advertising in England.

    All ideas very welcome.

if you look on amazon for "ontario as a home for the british tenant farmer" you will find something maybe of use.

general newspapers would have carried adverts, like the the scotsman.co.uk/archive
