    YFC agm in Blackpool

Anyone planning to go to the YFC agm in Blackpool this year. I'll be there again (I know I am too old but get over it! Big Smile). Actually, starting to really look forward to it - particularly the club shirts which we are hoping we can share ahead of the event...

it is amazing the number of young farmers, my eldest son included, who go to the AGM but come home unable to remember a thing until the pictures appear on Facebook

We had our South West Area weekend this weekend just gone. Had a whale of a time. Looking forward to more of the same at Blackpool! (Long old drive mind!)

This could be fun. I know Mildred is going already so there could be quite a few familiar 'user names' about. Will you brave enough to come and say hello though...?

Hell yeah...I'll be there and am really looking forward to it!! We've (SuffolkYFC) have got loads of tee shirt slogans but have yet to decide on what one to put on our shirts....hmmmmm....

Let me guess...? Something along the lines of:

I'm like a Suffolk Punch - a rare breed and hung like a horse.

     Sorry.. I'll get my coat.

I have no knowledge of whether that slogan is appropriate for Mildred or not! I just thought it was the sort of think you might get on a YFC club shirt! Big Smile

I'll defo come and say Hi if you're about. Though I don't think we endeered ourselves the last time we mingled with the FW crew at the NFU AGM!!! But hey, all good fun.

You aren''t the infamous Tom are you! Big Smile

I'm sure you weren't that bad. We thought it was a great laugh. The only point where we probably looked a bit grumpy (and we weren't really) was when people who were quite clearly a bit 'delicate' were trying to make us video them. We kept explaining that we couldn't (and they'd thank us in the morning!) but it fell on deaf ears! Big Smile

I think the Cornish Ba*t*rd was talking about the NFU agm, Isabel, not the Young Farmers.

I don't think there were as many 'delicate' people at the NFU agm as there was at the YFC convention.

By delicate, I'm assuming you mean 'tired and empotional'.Smile

We'll be out and about with our own special FW shirts this year in Blackpool - so if you see us come and say hello!

My eldest son tells me he is going, though i don't remember him asking for the time off !

He has not yet  understood that 40hrs a week is the minimum not maximium in farming !

You say that Tim, but I saw one or two at the NFU Conference who should have stayed in bed for a couple more hours. I don't think Mr Nayler quite new what to say about us. We had to explain at length to a dear friend of mine that " This was Richard Nayler not Hugh Broom!" but he wouldn't have it to be! Then half an hour later I had Hugh preaching to me and a fellow Harper-ite about... something or other. All rather surreal but bloody good fun!

How old is too old for a YF AGM?  Big Smile  I'm probably way past it, as the last one I went to had Simon Bates as DJ one night.

I've come into this a bit late, but just realised that you were one of the young farmers from Cornwall who kept me and Mr Naylor from going to bed at a sensible time at the conference. You did make Matthew Naylor's night by getting him confused with Hugh though, he thought it was hilarious!

Keep an eye out for us all in Blackpool anyway - we'll be there in some delightful yellow t-shirts again...
