Mark Doble Clearing snow which had fallen on 6 Feb to a depth of 6 - 10 Inches deep with his Bobcat from Causeway Farm Dairy to Coles Cross Blackdown (3/4 quarters of a mile) so the tanker could get to the farm. "We were lifting sugarbeet on monday morning at J. A Chapman Farms, Keadby Grange. All was going well skirting around the wet parts of the field but after 3 loads we had had a tractor and cart stuck so the harvester jacked out and in doing so sunk. Pulling another cart along side to empty the harvester it then sunk. After a hour and half we eventually got the tractor and carts pulled out using a 7920 and 7930 John Deere and having to empty the rest of the beet onto the field to pull the harvester out. The man in the orange overalls, Stuart Smith is locally known in the farming scene as 'Tango Man'." Picture from Matthew Smith.
