  • Beet talks collapse...again

    Still no agreement between NFU and British Sugar on what the 2010 beet price should be...the game of 'brinkmanship' continues (see article link below) and goes down to the wire again. Surely it can't go on for much longer, but I'm not sure BS are going to budge on price. I'm Interested...

  • NFU calls for beet price of £34.50/t

    Beet price negotiations between the NFU and British Sugar kicked off today with the NFU calling for a 2010 price of £34.50/t - almost £9/t more than this year. BS were quick to call the proposal "completely unrealistic" - not surprising given the lengthy talks it took to agree the current price...
