Sharmans of Stamford. I’m pretty sure they have a 6920s in their yard, not sure if its 50k. try ringing Robert Burdock on 07768596865 he’ll know where theres one.

Tilstock tractors will sell you their demo tractors at very good prices. However I’d go with a 6910 50km before a 20 series. Had the 20 series and sold them because of to many faults. Or go with a 7710 50km. The Fendts 716 vario’s are generally bullet proof and excellent to drive.

If you dont mind waiting until after the summer then Risborough Ag should have one in as the people who I work for are trading in one of our 50k AutoQuad 6920S’s for a newer one.

Look at their website http://www.risag.com and maybe send them an email and they might find you something.

    Regards

    Peter

    Thanks for the replies.

Have a new one on order for harvest delivery.
After looking at a few secondhand options, new looked good value at only a couple of K more than 1500-2000hr examples with part worn rubber and no warranty! plus 2004 spec has quite a lot of changes and improvements over early models i’m told.

Love them or hate em you just can’t argue that JD’s don’t hold their value !

I thought there was a waiting list for new 6000 series Clive,i have been told that our April ordered JD 7920 will not arrive till mid August despite leaving the production line in mid June!I suppose thats the difference between Euro and US build machines. It seems the "shipping" phase takes a ridiculous two months from the States. No doubt they will say the Chinese have pinched all the ship space.

Iv bought a house there and im going to learn about the agri industry, there seems like there is alot of oppertunity.
For example chicken breast fillets are £1.60 per kg over there and £5 per kg here!!
Its a great country and the ladies are very, very nice!!!

    Guess What ?

The 6920S diddn’t turn up for the start of harvest ! Despite numerous calls and assurance that it would be here for early July "no problem"

Told dealer to stick it where sun don’t shine, no good to me at end of August – got MX 150 to tide us over (may just grow to love it more than a JD !)

How many tractor dealers can afford to loose 40K deals like that !

Hope they go bust soon and we get a decent dealer to replace them – Begining to get really sick of the way JD dealers treat their customers and I know I’m not alone !

I was in Sharmans at Grantham recently and am sure they have some 6920s but couldn’t tell you if they are 50k or not.
I have dealt with Sharmans for a number of years and they have always appeared to be a quality outfit.
