Farming minister George Eustice will be setting the wider agenda for the future of farming at this year’s Fertile Minds conference.

Mr Eustice will push home the importance of agriculture to the British economy and countryside and will stress the need for a talented, energetic and skilful next generation to deliver on the opportunities.

Fertile Minds, which is taking place on 27 November at the Rheged Centre, Penrith, is a free one-day business event for 18-25 year olds who are hungry for success in agriculture.

The jam-packed event will bring together 150 ambitious young farmers in the early stages of their careers for a day packed full of business advice, practical workshops and inspirational speakers.
