The NFU and Home-Grown Cereals Authority this week enlisted the help of the Territorial Army to attempt a new world record for the largest bowl of porridge.

The bid was made as part of the industry’s efforts to promote Farmhouse Breakfast Week (21-27 January).

Farmers Weekly’s deputy news editor Isabel Davies went along to find out what the attempt involved and whether the bid was successful.
