Six country guys are enjoying a taste of the celebrity lifestyle, following their recent “Full Monty” charity performance.
Their exploits have landed them on local tv and radio, and made them local stars in Cumbria.
They’ve also been featured in The Cumberland News, which declared that the venue for their performance – Roadhead Village Hall – had “never witnessed anything like it in its 100-year history”.
“It’s give us our 15 minutes of fame,” so one of the guys, farmer Steve Pattinson, told FWi. “But more importantly it’s raising money for our local hospital and has helped highlight the fact that when up against it, farmers will still take time to pull their community together and do their bit to safeguard what amenities are left.”
