Wynne Jones, principal of Harper Adams University College, has received a OBE in the 2009 New Years Honours list.

Professor Jones has been the college’s principal and chief executive since 1996. He was previously appointed vice principal and director of research at Harper Adams Agricultural College in 1988.

A recipient of the Royal Agricultural Society of England’s National Agricultural Award for outstanding services to the agricultural industry in 2005, Prof Jones was recognised by the Farmers’ Club for his outstanding contribution to British agriculture in 2007.
