The logo for the 2012 London Olympics has sparked a torrent of criticism since it was unveiled earlier this week, with many dubbing the £400,000 design unappealing and unclear.

So, let’s show them how it’s done, shall we. We know there is the Red Tractor logo but here’s your chance to showcase your drawing and design skills by coming up with a logo that epitomises all that’s best about UK farming.

Here’s your chance to showcase your drawing and design skills. It doesn’t necessarily have to be complicated – it can be as simple or as elaborate as you like.

You might decide to base your logo on a tractor? Perhaps it’ll feature livestock? A farmer or a farming family? Green fields and trees? Whatever sums up our wonderful way of life to you could feature in your design.

The winner will get £50 and we’ll post the best ones in a gallery on FWi.

Either send your design to Logo Competition, Farmers Weekly, Quadrant House, Sutton, Surrey, SM2 5AS. Or you can email them to tim.relf@rbi.co.uk

The closing date for the competition is June 22. Good luck…
