Farmers Weekly has launched a search to find the countryside’s sexiest farmers.
This competition, run in association with The Original Muck Boot Company, will crown the nation’s sexiest male and female farmers – so if this sounds like you or someone you know we want to hear from you.
Fashion expert, TV presenter and how-to-look-good guru Gok Wan will be helping Farmers Weekly select the shortlist.
Gok says: “I’ve never let a rugged exterior put me off, and farmers are definitely no exception to this rule. I know with just a little bit of TLC, farmers can look absolutely fantastic and should celebrate their appearance – viva la country chic. Farmers most definitely are sexy!”
According to Farmers Weekly’s Community and Farmlife editor Tim Relf, the competition is a bit of fun, but does have a serious side.
“It will help dispel the myth that farmers are old-fashioned and scruffy and, in so doing, encourage more young people to consider careers in this exciting, innovative and high-tech sector.
“What constitutes sexiness, of course, is different to different people,” adds Tim. “It might be good looks, a kind nature, or a wicked sense of humour – but it might equally be a hard-working nature, an affinity with the land, or a particular devotion to the family, the farm or the local community.”
The two overall winners will each get their very own pair of specially made limited edition ‘Britain’s Sexiest Farmer’ boots plus a prize pack of other products from The Original Muck Boots Company, worth £100.
Anybody of any age can enter just as long as you have a country connection.
