Then, make a date to attend the new one-day conference, South West Excellence – Leading the Way in Food, Farming and Tourism, to be staged on Thurs 30 March at the Exeter Phoenix Centre, Exeter, Devon.
The conference, organised by the Exeter Festival of South West England Food and Drink Partners and supported by Farmers Weekly, is dedicated to helping farmers, food processors, retailers and caterers exploit the business opportunities associated with south west produce.
A key theme will be sharing best practice and exploring how the food, farming and tourism industries can work together to achieve success.
There’s no better forum to share ideas and plan for future growth – particularly now that about 68% of food and drink businesses in the south west originate through farm diversification projects, says John Sheaves, chief executive of Taste of the West:
