Last chance to become Britain’s Sexiest Farmer
There are just a few days left to nominate yourself or someone you know as Britain’s Sexiest Farmer.
Here’s everything you need to know about the competition, including why we’re doing it, what the prize is and how to enter:
WHAT IS IT?
A nationwide competition to find Britain’s Sexiest Farmer. One male and one female who make the countryside look like the sexiest place on the planet.
WHO CAN ENTER?
You can nominate yourself or someone you know, and the gateposts to the competition are wide. There’s no age limit, but the person must live and work in the UK and have a strong connection to farming and the countryside.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ‘SEXY’?
You tell us. It could be old fashioned good looks, a kind nature, a wicked sense of humour, a hard-working nature, an affinity with the land, a way with livestock, devotion to the family, command of the tractor cab…the list is endless.
WHY ARE FW DOING THIS?
The competition is a bit of fun (there’s enough bad news around in farming after all), but there is a serious underlying message too – to show that farming is as much of a fun, sexy and vibrant business as any other trade or profession.
HOW IS IT JUDGED?
Our celebrity judge, how-to-look-good guru Gok Wan, will be helping us pick the shortlist of 10 finalists. Then we’ll open it up to a public vote on Facebook, so Farmers Weekly readers will get to decide our two overall winners.
THE PRIZE
The two winners will get their very own pair of specially made limited ‘Britain’s Sexiest Farmer’ boots from the competition sponsor – The Orginal Muck Boot Company – and a prize pack worth £100. We’ll also profile the two winners in Farmers Weekly. All 10 shortlisted finalists will receive a pair of Muck Boots.
