Farmers are hoping that the damage from the torrential rain and gales being experinced in many parts of the country will be manageable, although heavy rain in the past week has already left many with flattened crops and land under water.
According to the BBC, June’s average rainfall of about 50mm could fall in many places over the next day.
The Environment Agency currently has five Severe Flood warnings, 45 Flood Warnings and 106 Flood Watch warnings in place.
Floods last week also led to some dramatic livestock rescues, including one in Leicestershire where eight Young Farmers saved a flock of 56 sheep from rising waters.
