Police are hunting thieves who stole 500 partridges in two overnight raids on a farm in Norfolk.

The raiders took 250 birds from the farm in Fakenham overnight on Tuesday (17 September).

They returned the following night to take the remaining 250. The birds were removed from a pen in a field along with the feeders.

Norfolk Constabulary would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the thefts who may have noticed any unusual large vehicles in or alongside fields.

Anyone who has been offered a “lot of partridges for sale” is also urged to contact PC Paul Austin at Fakenham Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
