British farming needs young, vocal people with the right public speaking skills to positively promote our industry, said farm minister Jim Paice this week.

Speaking at the Young Advocates in Agriculture national debating competition, Mr Paice congratulated the 12 students and young farmers who participated in the event and underlined the importance of young farmers honing their debating and public speaking skills.
