Church Farm at Little Faringdon in Oxfordshire went to auction with Moore, Allen & Innocent earlier this month and saw the hammer come down at £7304/acre on one parcel.

Just under 82 acres of arable and temporary grassland were guided at £380,000, but reached nearly £600,000 after two bidders fought it out.

The land adjoins Lower Church Farm, which is also on the market with the same agent. Other lots of arable, pasture and woodland sold for about £5000/acre.
