Ready-made retail business up for grabs

A successful farm shop is being sold as a going concern with 150 acres of grade two land near Flushing on the south Cornish coast.

Tregew Farm Shop has been built up over the past 12 years by the vendors, who are now seeking to retire. What began as selling a small amount of fresh produce from the farm gate has led to a business turning over £185,000 a year, said Alex Rew of agent Stags. “The land is gently sloping, grade two land and the vendors have been growing a lot of produce for sale through the farm shop.”

The shop is based in part of a modern, 11,000 sq ft agricultural building with office, toilets, cold store and preparation room. There is also some livestock accommodation.

Although there was no dwelling house, Mr Rew said there could be an opportunity to erect an agriculturally tied dwelling with views over Flushing and the sea, subject to planning consent.

Single farm payment entitlements are included in the sale. Tregew Farm and farm shop are guided at £1.175m for the whole.
