Three month Autumn temporary position
Pfizer - Background
Pfizer is a leading animal health company, which continually invests in research and development to produce solutions to animal health issues. Pfizer launched DECTOMAXTM to control parasites in cattle, extending this to sheep in 1998 with great success. Pfizer now seek to recruit 6 Sales Representatives on a temporary basis to promote DECTOMAXTM and the rest of their VPS range to farmers:- Area 1 - North West Wales Area 2 - South West (including Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall) Area 3 - Aberdeenshire & Highlands Area 4 - Dumfries/Galloway/Ayrshire Area 5 - Northern Ireland - covering County Down, County Antrim and some of County Armagh (must reside in County Down or County Antrim) Area 6 - Glos/Hereford/Worcs
The Role
After initial training the candidate will set up farm calls - with the support of the Pfizer Territory Manager. For the remaining months of the post, they will plan and carry through face-to-face interviews with target farmers, giving full commercial and technical detailing of the product. Although no permanent job is currently on offer, this temporary position is seasonal and could be repeated in the Spring.
Qualifications
You will have practical knowledge of cattle or sheep farming. A full driving licence is essential. Sales experience is preferred. The Manufacturers AMTRA qualification would be desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided, and you will benefit from full management support in the field from the Pfizer Territory Managers.
Successful candidates will also display excellent communication and organisational skills, be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative.
Candidates should be available immediately and demonstrate a desire to represent a blue chip company. Employment will be through The Vacancy Management Company and offers a competitive salary with the possibility of generous bonus payments and the use of a company car.
