Farmers Weekly/Harper Adams Beef Focus Farm

Faced with the alarming statistic that 75% of UK suckler herds aren't leaving any profit, Farmers Weekly teamed up with Harper Adams during 2011 to look at how loss could be turned into profit without relying on an increase in market price.

This series followed upland suckled calf producer Simon Frost each month last year to find out how he achieved performance in the top 1% of costed herds and made a profit. Take a look back at his success last year.
