Royal Show 2009

The final ever Royal Show begins on Tuesday 7 July at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.

Visitor numbers for the four-day show are predicted to be up on recent years and entries for livestock competitions are at a three-year high, according to the organisers the Royal Agricultural Society of England.
"Exhibitors are travelling from across the country and beyond to vie for a chance to take home a piece of history – and win one of the last prestigious ‘Royal Show’ rosettes,” said Denis Chamberlain, RASE marketing director.
Record numbers of schoolchildren have bought tickets and will attend the larger and improved education area. There is also a strong theme on alternative and sustainable energy.
The show closes on Friday 10 July.
