Photo competition winners 2010

Thanks to everyone who entered the 2010 Farmers Weekly Photography Competition. We received more submissions than ever before - with well over 2000 entries. Your photos gave us a glimpse into your lives and provide a wonderful snapshot of farming and rural life. Here are the winners and highly commended entries in each of the seven categories.

Each of the seven category winners will get £100 cash plus a £100 voucher to spend on Farmplan software, a leading company supplying software and computer equipment to the agricultural industry.


ARABLE: Winner

Alan Hopps

Alan Hopps from Markethill in Co Armagh took this on a September evening in Northern Ireland. "I love the pattern the bales make – disappearing towards the glowing sky."
