The small selection of Continental bulls on offer at Ashford on Tuesday saw Limousins trade at £1550 and £1300 and the single Charolais on offer make £1300 too.

The Limousins were forward from Doug Mash’s Brockhurst herd and were both by homebred sires, the first being by Brockhurst Venture, a Brockhurst Premier son and the second was by Brockhurst Stroke, a Ronick Hawk son.

Jan Boomaars was the vendor of the Charolais and this one was by Gretnahouse Umpire, a Doonally New son.

Among the females offered on the same day top price of £1500 went to a British Blue cow with an Aberdeen Angus sired calf at foot from Kingswood Farmers. This one, Entrepenant Tabitha, is by Visconti De Fontaine and out of Bringlee Freerman sired dam Entreprenant Mariana.
