18,500gns leading trade at Sale for the Century

Well the signal in Cheshire is failing, but we will still bring you up to date information on Holstein UK‘s Sale for the Century at Beeston, Cheshire.

 

Topping trade so far at 18,500gns is Sterndale Ashlyns Gold, this October 2007 from Peak Holsteins by Braedale Goldwyn and out of Smiddiehill Durm Ashlyn is due in calf next March to Sterndale Mercury Red.

Next in line going under the hammer at 10,000gns is Sterndale Ruby Tuesday. Consigned by W J Nadin and Co, this September 2007 born cow is by KHW Kite Advent Red and out of Miss Ruby Lee Tuesday.

The first of the Shottle family to be in the money selling at 9000gns is Picston shottle Shula 58. Put forward by Spotacre Farms, this June 2008 heifer is by Picston Shottle and out of Picston Silky Shula.  

 

Unborn but already commanding the money at 9500gns is first choice for unborn calves either by Picston Shottle or Braedale Goldwyn, both out of Ashleigh Amanda.

 

At 8200gns Skyhigh Talented Patby Mark Shadwick is sired by Ladino Park Talent and out of Skyhigh Durham Pat. This one has a PLI of £152and is  from eight successive generations of cows classified Very Good and Excellent.

 

8000gns was the price paid for Shavington Rampage Ravina Red from R G Swan. Born June 2008 this one is by Rosedale L Rampage Red and out of Ridgefield Talent Rapture. Ravina Red is bred from six successive generations of cows classified Very Good or Excellent.

 

Another shottle daughter, Holmland Shottle Sara from S L and P S Bell. This one by Picston Shottle and out of Copywood I Lee sara sold for 5700gns
