Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s Annual Christmas Cracker Sale lived up to its title with no less than 53 cows and heifers selling over £2,000 to a top of 3,300gns.
Heading the sale was Hampshire farmer Mr Gerald Lambert’s Saddlers Bluey 5th by Picston Shottle she had calved in November and was giving 30kgs daily. The seven calved heifers from the Saddlers herd averaged £2,452.50.

At 2,600gns were first time consigners Designer Holsteins of Essex with their freshly calved heifer Noremead Baxter Warmer VG85 out of the Ex90 dam and Ex94 9th dam. Rookhaye Estate, Wiltshire sold their calved heifer Rookhaye Same Eileen by Regancrest-Mr Drham Sam for 2,450gns. Eric Puddy’s heifer Marcroft Bax Lulu by Emerald-Acr-Sa T-Baxter for 2,400gns.
Of the four bulls on offer top spot was taken by BL Davies and Son with Davlea Jonah ET at 2,500gns he was by Gen-Mark Stmatic Sanchez out of the Canadian Jacobs dam.
