5800gns for Texel shearling ewe

Setting the top price of the night in the shearling ewes here at Lanark was Gordon Gray’s Ettrick flock with a 5800gns sale for a Mitchelhill Paparazzi daughter out of a dam by Castlecairn Kung Foo Fighter. She stood third in the pre-sale show and sold with an index of 266 to Mr Pierce, Chester.At 4200gns was another from Gordon, this was also by Paparazzi and is out of a dam by Teiglum Nevada. This one, with an index of 227 went to Stephen Cobbold.

Overall the 60 shearling ewes sold this evening have averaged £946.93.
