The small offering of Aberdeen-Angus bulls at Carlisle on Saturday reached a top price of 3300gns and averaged £2790 for seven sold.

Sale leader was Thrunton Pendraggon J091 from Messrs Campbell, Alnwick, Northumberland. Born in December 2009, this one is a son of the high performance sire Rawburn Transformer and is out of the Netherton Equity daughter Pure Parsley of Highgate. He sold with a positive calving value, TSI of +26 and an SRI +40 to G T and M E Tweddle, Bishop Auckland, Co Durham.

Next highest at 3000gns was Tree Bridge Ermani K270 from David and Penny Evans, Middlesbrough, Cleveland. Ermani is a son of Haymount Galacco F644 and is out of the Chapelton Dark Mahmoud E826 daughter Tree Bridge Emily G147. He was knocked down to David Morris, Handley, Chester.

At 2400gns David Ismail of Dinar Estate Management, Stirling, bought Cheerbrook Future K006 from Andrew Shufflebotham, Nantwich, Cheshire. ET-bred and born February 2010, he is by T C Freedom 104 and is out of the T C Stockman 365 daughter MCF Favourite 58L.  

Next at 2100gns was Ribble Jamiespencer Eric J268 from Henry Rowntree, Clitheroe, Lancashire. This one is by Ribble Plover D472 and is out of the Landy of Cubbyhill daughter Solway Jan Erica W30. He sold to John Vance and Son, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire.

Mr Vance also paid 2000gns for Fell Lane Proud Cantana K222, a March 2010, born son of Rawburn Enigma G653 from M P Lishman, Hexham, Northumberland. Another from the same home, Fell Lane Premium J219 a November 2009-born son of Bosullow Elmark G209, sold to Messrs Pigg, Wigton, Cumbria.

At the same money Rachel Smith, Annan, Dumfriesshire, sold Westhills Ebulance K485 to D Moffat and Sons, Moffat, Dumfriesshire. This one is by Rawburn Transformer and out of Logie Elena F441.

The one female on offer from Michael Girling, Bishop Auckland, Co Durham, sold at 720gns to A K Stoddart Farms, Broxburn. April 2006-born Wool House Paula F117 is by Haymount Wicket C412 and is out of Paola of Stanwix.
