THE BRITISH Pig Executive is looking for nominees for this year‘s David Black award.

The award is given annually to somebody who has made an important and sustained contribution to the British pig industry.

Past winners include producers, academics and a journalist.

The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges headed by BPEX chief executive Mick Sloyan.

“The David Black award is an extremely important one recognising the outstanding contribution one person has made over a period of time,” said Mr Sloyan.

“Previous winners have come from a wide variety of backgrounds reflecting the many different businesses and organisations that are directly and indirectly involved in the British pig industry.”

Nominations can be made by anyone and the necessary forms can be found on the NPA and BPEX websites, www.bpex.org.uk and www.npa-uk.net
