Beef suckler calves feeding
Q Our spring-born suckler calves are weaned in the autumn (usually late September) and housed in peer groups within the finishing unit. They are wormed at housing with Closamectin and transferred on to a growing cereal based ration fed twice daily. After being housed for several weeks we start to see small amounts of coughing and runny noses amongst individual animals with our current threshold for treatment being two missed feeds.
