brecon DSC_6535 champion Lot 54 web.jpgBrutus Fixit, a son of Bailea Umber from local breeders D S and D A Brute, topped the strong trade for Limousin bulls at the breed society’s show and sale at Brecon on Saturday making 9000gns.

Fixit stood champion on the day under judge Jamie Cooper (Tomschoice) and as usual combines some of the best imported Bailea genetics with that all important dash of the indomitable Greensons Gigolo. Fixit is out of a Tanholm Claus dam and stays in Wales to join the Montgomeryshire-based Sarkley herd of well known breeders E H Pennie and Sons.

Columbpark Fiasco, the reserve champion from from M R and V A Smith, Exeter made 6600gns to M E Price and Sons, Builth Wells. Fiasco is one of the first Fleethill Clipper sons (who is by Maraiscote Volt) to be offered for sale at auction. He was shown this summer standing fourth at the National Show as well as taking the title and reserve inter-breed ticket at Dorset and was part of the Interbreed Champion Pair at the Royal Bath and West.
