Top price at the inaugural monthly Bristol dairy sale was a 4000gns bid for calved heifer Holmead Talent Roxy 2 from R T and M S Cox, Shaftesbury, Dorset. The Ladino-Park Talent daughter from the great Roxy family was bred from nine successive generations of cows in the top two grades and sold to P J Andrews of the Beneknowle herd, Plymouth, Devon.

Second highest price was 3000gns for Walkabout Shottle Rolls, a Picston Shottle sired heifer from Messrs E Gay, Axminster, Devon.  She was purchased by M A Jeanes Farms, Bridgwater, Somerset, for their Birksfarm herd.

And selling at 2300gns was Llan Dolman Jill, a Regancrest Dolman daughter which was knocked down to D A and C L Owens, St Clears.

Averages; 27 pedigree calved heifers £2066.17, 14 commercial calved heifers £1364.25, three bulls £1141 (Norton and Brooksbank and Gwilym Richards).
