Bristol Simmentals hit 5600gns top call

Simmentals traded to a top of 5600gns at Bristol on Saturday when Henry Widdicombe sold Starline Variety. This one is by homebred sire Starline Prankster and out of Starline Klassik daughter Starline Lorette 15.

Next among the bulls was a 4600gns call for Chyanhal Wellington from D M Nicholas. He’s by Corskie Radium a Popes Laird son out of Chyanhal Nell, a Saccombe Wishfull Thinking daughter.

Then at 4000gns was Station House Viscount, a Popes Laird son from Eric Ford and Barry Little. This one is out of Needwood Scarlet, a Sterling Flint daughter.

Next best in the bulls was the pre-sale show champion, Wishful Well-Pict from D B and C A Mills. By Saccombe Wishfull Thinking and out of Swallowhill Martha, he made 3600gns.

Top call among the females, meanwhile, was a 4000gns sale for Crackley Cadette 78 from Messrs Booth and Bell. She’s by Wroxhall Luke and out of Crackley Cadette 36.

And at 3200gns was the pre-sale show reserve female champion Wishful Vanessa from D B and C A Mills. She’s a daughter of Blackford Harvester out of Greenside Holly Maureen.

2900gns secured the female champion from Messrs Booth and Bell, Crackley Cadette 74. By Agardsley Bruno, she’s out of Crackley Caddette 49.
