A homebred British Blue from Geoff Walker led the prices at Skipton’s show and sale of young bulls last week, when it sold for £1030. The bull, by Brennand Viper, sold to Stephen Swales after collecting the championship ticket.

At £985 was the reserve champion from the pre-sale show, another British Blue cross, this time from David and Stephen Hollings, Hebden Bridge. This also sold to Mr Swales.

Selling at £900 was the best Charolais of the day from Mark Wilson, Selside, Settle which sold to J B Eastwood, and at £875 was another from the same home which went to A G Watson and Sons.
