This mainly black-coated bull is out of a Tamhorn Sumo dam and had a full sister that made 5600gns at the breed society sale in October last year. Offered by Kevin Watret from his herd at Annan, Dumfriesshire, he stood supreme champion under judge John O’Kell, Cheshire and heads to Perthshire with buyers Monzie Farms, Crieff.



(hutch)6s web.jpgAlso heading north to Lanarkshire with buyers R and B Allison was Osborne Flash. Secured at 6500gns, this son of Empire D’Ochain stood second in his class. He was consigned by west Cumbria breeder John Twentyman.

Selling to D and E Broadbent, Luddendenfoot, Halifax, he was by Bringlee Carlos and out of a cow by Twyning Ash Vaughan. A 6200gns call from C and J Kearton, Barnard Castle, Co Durham secured them Droit Geronimo – a son of Dafydd D’Ochain – from Richard Mowbray, Co Tyrone.


The reserve championship went to J and L Dunn’s Highridge Blues Galaxy – a Bringlee Blackstar son. Another black bull, he made 6200gns to R D Atkinson, Goole, Humberside.


Averages: 18 bulls £4,622 and three females £1,925; two recipients with calves £1,496.
