The prestigious Burke Trophy will be presented at this summer’s Royal Norfolk Show.

 

The esteemed beef trophy, will be presented by permission of the RASE and sponsored by ASDA to the best pair of animals – one male and one female – selected by each breed society.

 

The cattle at the Show, which takes place on June 27 and 28, will be judged by well-known pedigree shorthorn breeder James Ross, who farms near Dumfries.

 

Cattle judging will take place on both days and judging for the Burke will take place on Thursday among judging for the interbreed classes.

 

Royal Norfolk Show livestock administrator Mary Wright said: ‘The Burke Trophy is the ultimate prize for any cattle exhibitor and we are very excited that it will be presented at the Royal Norfolk Show this year.”
