Cambwell ewe leads Grey Peel Texel prices

Top price so far in the Grey Peel Texel sale at Carlisle has gone to a Cambwell ewe bred by Robert Laird at 4400gns. This one, LTC07536, is by Cambwell Laird and out of a dam by Cambwell Handsome. Selling with an index of 392, she was bought as a shearling at the Select Seven sale for 2000gns. With an index of 210 she was bought in 2009 for 1200gns and is an ET sister to 4000gns sire Ettrick Oki Doki. She is a Grey Peel Obama daughter out of a Grey Peel Lear Jet daughter and has an index of 367. She was 11th at the Great Yorkshire as a lamb and sold in-lamb to Cabwell Osprey.HMF 09294 L30.jpgAnd making 900gns was another homebred shearling, an Osprey daughter, HMF09351. This is out of a Langford Link Pin daughter and sold in lamb to Knock Papoose with an index of 307.
